To complement a collection of lighting, Collier Webb were asked to create a bespoke piece of furniture for Oro Bianco – the London-based luxury interior design studio.
The project, completed in 2019 was an extensive residential property in Dubai that saw our designers, engineers and craftsmen complete over 180 pieces and in addition, pieces from our lighting collection.
Oro Bianco provided our design team with initial renders of the coffee table design which was designed with intricate bamboo details that reflected the design of a bamboo pendant and wall lights created for the same project.
As with the lighting pieces, the coffee table’s brass frame was originally created by our in-house pattern-maker. A mould was then made from the pattern and cast using the lost-wax method, chosen for its perfect translation of detailed designs.
The frame also features turned brass finials and machined corner blocks with a reeded detail.
Low-iron toughened glass was used for the top and shelf, the metal work was coloured in our Antique Gilt finish.
