Belstaff

Built in 1876, this building has previously been a successful Victorian art gallery and BBC recording studio, but is now home to British luxury brand Belstaff’s flagship store.

The façade of the Grade 2 listed building has been retained but the interior structure of the building has been completely redesigned to reflect Belstaff’s unique British heritage.

According to their principles of employing exquisite craftsmanship and fine materials, Manhattan-based design firm Studio Sofield commissioned Collier Webb to create an impressive collection of luxury retail lighting for the New Bond Street store. A variety of ceiling lights were created including a trio of stunning bronze lanterns. In design, these pieces are simple and elegant; in manufacture, masterpieces of execution.

Collier Webb handled additional components for the Belstaff London design, including a line of lamps from their catalogue range. Other custom lighting and hardware elements also feature prominently in the store and the Collier Webb Foundry cast the two bronze name plaques that follow the contours of the columns which flank the boutique’s central entrance.
