At the heart of the Virginia Globe lies a bold seven-sided framework, crafted in solid brass with softened curves to balance its architectural presence. Each panel is framed with precision, housing glass that can be specified in any of the four glass offerings, the surface texture of which captures the gentle ripples of the sea.
The intricate ceiling rose draws from Georgian design influences, while the sculpted finials take inspiration from the wildflowers found along the Sussex coastline. The banded form of the piece recalls the silhouette of the nearby Belle Tout lighthouse, grounding its contemporary elegance in a sense of place.
Handcrafted by our skilled makers, the Virginia Globe can be specified with either a reeded brass rod or chain, and finished in any of our signature metal finishes as well as four new glass offerings: Clear Ripple, Clear Reeded, Moss and Blush.
If a precise drop is required, we recommend specifying the Reeded Rod. The chain specification will result in a +/- 50mm difference in drop due to the chain having to terminate on a chain ring and not a chain oval.
