Goodwood Lantern

This ornate reproduction antique hanging lantern design has been re-created from a large Regency piece which had been illuminating Goodwood House for 200 years.

With the kind permission of the Earl of March, our craftsmen have carefully made moulds and patterns from the original lantern, enabling them to faithfully capture the elegant proportions and ornate details of the original.

18 new moulds have been made to produce over 100 castings before the reproduction antique hanging lantern could be assembled.

It is topped by a beautifully profiled hand blown glass smoke shade.

Handcrafted using traditional techniques and finished in Antique Gilt Lacquer, this impressive hanging lantern would complement any period space with a suitably high ceiling.

Available lit by candle or electrified, it is supplied with 1 metre of matching cast decorative link chain and a large acanthus leaf motif rose/canopy. Longer chains and alternative roses are available, if required.
